June 26th 2015: The US Supreme Court has struck down the bans on same-sex marriage in a historic 5-4 ruling. January 6, 2015: Same-sex marriage in Florida became legal as a result of a temporary injunction issued by a U.S. district court in the case of Brenner v. Scott, in which the state’s same-sex marriage ban had been found unconstitutional on August 21, 2014.
None of the 10 family court judges in the 15th Judicial Circuit (Palm Beach County) will be signing off on any same sex divorces until the Supreme Court later in 2015.
